MILL CREEK ROUTE
This is a primitive route along Mill Creek. It is not passable
during high water. It passes one 50 foot waterfall. Expect to
wade through some water. If traveling downstream, when you hit
the junction with Big Tujunga Creek, go downstream. The exit trail
is at the concrete tower adjacent to the creek. If traveling upstream,
at the first junction, Mill Creek is to the left.
Trail head: The upper trailhead is located at the picnic
area just north of the tunnel on Angeles Forest Highway. The lower
trail head is located at the second pull out south of the bridge
south of the tunnel.
UPPER BIG TUJUNGA ROUTE
This is a primitive route following the Upper Big Tujunga Creek.
It can be impassible during high water. Even during low water
it can be difficult passing some of the water falls and pools.
Expect wet feet and some rock climbing or scrambling.
Trail head: The upper trail head is located off of the
Upper Big Tujunga Road. The lower trail head is located just south
of the tunnel on the Angeles Forest Highway or at the second pull
out south of the bridge near the tunnel.
