Equestrian Trails

HANSEN DAM PARK
Hansen Dam Park has a variety of trails from dirt roads circling the lakes and following along the bottom of the dam, to many small trails that weave throught the wooded areas. Many of the smaller trails are created from use and don't receive regular maintenance. This area blends into the Big Tujunga Wash area to the east.
Trail head: There are parking lots on both Osborne and Foothill Blvd.

BIG TUJUNGA WASH
This wash is located east of Hansen Dam Park. It contains a network of equestrian trails weaving between a dry land area and a riparian habitat. It provides a variety of scenery and a number of pleasant surprises.
Trail head: Access to this area is available from Christy Ave, Weatland Ave, and the Gabrellino Equestrian Park on Orcas Ave, all accessed from Foothill Blvd. There are access points along Wentworth Street; however, there is no parking near these access points.

HANSEN DAM EQUESTRIAN TRAIL - Length: 4 kilometers (2 miles).
This equestrian trail starts at the western end of the dam on Osborne Street and follows along on the side of the dam. On the eastern side of the dam it connects with Wentworth Street.
Trail head: The parking lot at the dam on Osborne Street north of Glenoaks Blvd.
